The regular season was a success, but the real challenge begins now, in the postseason. This Friday Union (10-0) takes on Edmond Santa Fe (5-5) in the first playoff game of the year. Union has been tearing up the end zone with big points in its last nine contests.

Union went up against Mustang last week. Union got off to a good start with a 24-point offensive effort in the first half. That gave them a 24 - 14 advantage at the half. The offense kept at it in the second half and scored another 24. The game ended up being a comfortable 48 - 28 victory for Union.

As for Edmond Santa Fe, the result of its previous contest was disheartening but, based on MaxPreps state rankings, not too surprising. It lost to Jenks by a decisive 39 - 21 scoreline last week.

We'll see if Union can add another positive mark to its record or if Edmond Santa Fe can shake off its defeat and take the spring out of Union's step.
